Automobiles in German City Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities mentioned they were contacted by a resident who found a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Roughly 50 automobiles have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to police.

Vehicles, exterior walls and postboxes were vandalized, in some cases with swastikas, they reported in a release.

Law enforcement say they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a man noticed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish substance.

The substance had been placed in the form of a banned symbol, they stated.

Police then found multiple other vandalized vehicles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Police say initial examinations show the liquid was most likely human blood.

"Currently there is no lead as to its origin; authorities are not yet cognizant of any physical harm in relation with the occurrence," they commented.

Municipal representatives stated they were trying "to unravel the mystery" and have asked to the public for tips.

A senior representative stated the incident left him without words and required to be addressed promptly.

"This incident affects the center of Hanau and revives the pain of the right-wing violent incident in 2020," he wrote on social media, mentioning the murder of nine people by a gunman focusing on residents of immigrant origin in five years prior.
