I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
